Accumulation tables are designed
to off load production onto a wider and slower moving area for mass
accumulation. In the case of hot fill packaging, this allows the
(typically glass) containers to be washed or cooled of en masse for
further processing downstream or simply staged for pack off. These
tables are custom-made for the requirement and typically consist of
multiple low friction or all stainless table-top chains. Unlike
bidirectional tables used for intermittent collection, the chains on
these accumulation tables move intermittently and only in one direction.
