Fillers are one of the backbones of your business. Without accurate, fast, and efficient fillers, you don’t have a product ready to sell. It is important that you keep your fillers well maintained so you are able to keep production moving. There are three important ways you can keep your fillers working for you without interruptions.
Make sure you keep your fillers are clean inside and out, according to the instructions based on the type of filler you have. As a general rule, you should not clean fillers with anything hard or abrasive. Alcohol wipes are sufficient for cleaning any contamination or grime from the surface of your fillers in most cases. Keeping fillers clean gives you a product you can be sure of while also keeping the filler in prime operating condition.
Lubrication of Parts
Routine Cleaning
Some parts of your fillers will need to be lubricated with oil to keep them operating efficiently. If you fail to keep these parts lubricated, your fillers could stop functioning and need to be repaired or replaced much sooner than they would otherwise. Not all parts of your fillers need lubrication. If you are not sure which parts need oil, consult your manual or contact us for more information.
Removing Moisture
Moisture can gather in some parts of your fillers that can inhibit their function. Making sure you have a dry environment is important, as is emitting moisture from the water-air separator, if your filler has one. Preventing moisture from building up in the gears and mechanisms of the fillers will make them last longer and work more efficiently.
